Motorstorm: Apocalypse Review
March 31, 2011 // 0 CommentsMotorStorm has been a popular franchise since the first game came out exclusively for PlayStation 3 all those years ago. The games have become increasingly more destructive, and gone to different terrains. MotorStorm Apocalypse is very different. There are some natural environments like the previous games, but this time the developers have focused on staying mainly within an urban environment. An environment that’s breaking around you as you drive.
The main idea behind the MotorStorm franchise is that you can take several routes within each level to reach the finish line. MotorStorm Apocalypse is no different, there is still a great deal of different routes available, but now they are sometimes so different, that you can’t even see your opponents at times. This mainly because races now go through tunnels and different routes can provide shortcuts for the player.
The main difference in MotorStorm Apocalypse is that the racing terrain develops over time. For example, you may be taking one tunnel in the first lap, but on the second lap a building may have fallen down and blocked that route.
